 All travel north on esplanade, cross at the Steel B., turn south down Waterfront, cont. to the Hawthorne B. then cross to the east side. Runners turn south for 1.7K down-and-back-loop past OMSI. Runners dbl back passing OMSI on return trip. Walkers cross at the Hawthorne B. and go north to finish course at plaza. All people finish at Eastbank plaza near start. Runners/Walkers have different finishes

RUNNERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PICK UP THEIR PACKETS EARLY on Friday, 9/11/2009, 12noon until 6pm, at Foot Traffic's downtown store located at: 824 SW 2nd Ave., in Portland
On Sat., 9/12 - check in table opens at 11am
Runners will start the 8K fun-run at 11:45pm
Walkers/Roller will begin their route at 12pm

Adult Walker/Roller: $15.00 Select this option if you are only Walking or Rolling on the 2.5 mile route (no run registrations please).

Youth Walker/Roller: $15.00 Youth registration ages 5-17. This event is FREE to kids age 4 and younger. However because of liability reasons, we require that you register all children under age 5 and agree to the consent waiver on the registration form. Thank you for your cooperation.

Adult Runner: $15.00 Select this option to participate in the 8K fun-run only (runners won't finish in time to start with Walkers/Rollers, sorry).

Youth Runner: $15.00 Select this option if your child (ages 5-17) is participating in the 8K fun-run (runners won't finish in time to start with the Walkers/Rollers, sorry). Although kids under 5 are free, they still need to be registered for liability reasons, please see registration option on this page.

| | | Participant Level | Walk 'n' Roller Award ($200.00 + ) The INDIVIDUAL who raises the most money for UCP's Walk 'n' Roll event by recruiting participants and/or encouraging donations will receive the coveted Walk 'n' Roller Award, a $200 gift certificate to Typhoon Restaurant!

Noble Effort Award ($100.00 + ) The Noble Effort Award will be awarded to the INDIVIDUAL who raises the SECOND highest amount of money for UCP's Walk 'n' Roll 2009 event by recruiting participants and/or encouraging donations. The winner of this sought after Noble Effort Award will be given a $100 gift certificate to Olive Garden!

Captain My Captain Award The Captain My Captain Award will be awarded to the TEAM CAPTAIN with the largest team of PRE-REGISTERED participants. He/she will receive a $200 gift certificate to Typhoon Restaurant!
Please note: The Team Captain who wins this award does so only through the number of participants who sign-up to attend the event under the captain's team name. Individual participants who change allegiances, on-site event registrants and team members who do NOT pre-register by 5pm, Friday Sept. 11th do NOT count towards a team's total, sorry. Winner will be determined the evening of Friday, Sept. 11th - 1 day before the event. The best way to win this award is to encourage your team members to PRE-REGISTER AND SHOW UP on Sept. 12th. |

| | | Team Level | Running Team Incentive Because a fun-run is a new addition to this event, we are hoping to encourage your friends to join you on a run team. Therefore, the largest RUNNING team will get a prize: EACH MEMBER of the largest running team will receive a gift certificate to Emerald City Smoothies in Beaverton. The Team Captain of that large team will receive a $100 gift certificate to the restaurant of their choice.
Unlike the Walk and Roll incentives, folks who sign up to RUN AT THE EVENT WILL COUNT towards the winning team's total number. The winner will be announced at the event's closing. |
